Health screening

Screening looks for some health problems before symptoms appear. Which tests are useful depends on age, personal and family history, and other factors. A positive screening result may need additional evaluation. Screening recommendations and follow-up should come from your care team rather than a one-size-fits-all checklist.

Your next steps after the visit

  1. Bring past screening dates or results if available.

  2. Write down the test, booking contact, and agreed timing.

  3. Confirm how results will be explained and what follow-up may be needed.

Questions for your care team

  • What are the benefits and possible downsides?
  • Which screening is due for me?
  • What happens after the result?
